AETOR’s principal, Mike Asimakis, previously served as contract Director of Product Development & Design at PDI Product Development Inc., and later as Co-Founder and Director of Product Development & Design at ARMOR TOOL, through 2019.

With a B.S. in Industrial Design, Mike’s work evolved to focus almost exclusively on new, IP-driven product ideation and development—from early concept and functional prototyping through validated, production-ready assemblies. As both designer and inventor, he co-founded Armor Tool and established the company’s core product visual language. He holds multiple issued and pending patents and has led projects from blue-sky concept through engineering validation, DFM, and launch. His involvement spans industrial design, CAD development, technical drawings, materials specification, functional testing, and direct collaboration with domestic and overseas manufacturing partners.

At PDI, Mike lead PDI’s projects for brands including BESSEY, CRESCENT/GEARWRENCH, and KREG, and also supported developed a solo project with BOW Products. His work contributed to tailored, licensed, and private-label innovations for brands such as CRAFTSMAN, CH Hanson, AMF GmbH, TRITON, and ROCKLER—several earning industry recognition and product innovation awards. He also supported late-stage development work with BOW Products, translating prototype into a production-ready, CAD-engineered product aligned with the company’s emerging brand language.
